LANG JEREMY SEMPLE (JERRY), of Shandon, died peacefully on 21st April 2019, loving husband of Rosemary and much loved by his five children and twelve grandchildren. Memorial service at Rhu and Shandon Parish Church, on Friday 3rd May at 2pm.

Dear Mrs Lang,
You have my heartfelt condolences on the recent loss of your husband. I understand very well how my mother felt when my father died.
My name is Brewster Barclay and I hope that you will excuse me in using this forum to contact you but the reason is that I believe that your late husband's great grandmother was Mary Millar Barclay who was the sister of my great great grandfather George Carey Barclay. George Carey Barclay emigrated to the USA and my father was researching his Scottish ancestry before he died. Finding your name has been my first breakthrough after a long time in continuing his efforts.
My only reason for contacting you is to find out if anyone in your family has any further information on our common ancestors. If any of your children are interested in contacting me, I am easily found on Facebook or LinkedIn as I am the only person with my name.
Again, please excuse what may be an intrusion on your grief.
