CARSON - Les Lilian, Susan and Andrew would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the overwhelming love and support shown to them during Les' short illness and since his passing. The visits, cards, flowers, baking and other acts of kindness were much appreciated. Thanks also to the doctors, district nurses and carers for the amazing support which allowed Les to remain in his home, where he wanted to be. We are truly grateful. To everyone who lined the streets to pay their respects on his final journey to Oban, and all who travelled to attend his funeral at St Oran's and Pennyfuir Cemetery. Thanks also to Lynette for the beautiful flowers, Angus McColl for his moving piping and to Soroba House for the excellent refreshments. Thanks to Rev. Fred Booth for his caring support, and a special thanks to Jim Auld for his uplifting service. Also, to Jim and his team for the care, compassion, and guidance given to us at such a difficult time, nothing was too much trouble for them. To those who donated in Les' memory, a total of £1,000 was raised and has been forwarded to Pancreatic Cancer UK. We will love and miss this very special man, always and forever.
