THE Tower Digital Arts Centre in Helensburgh has unveiled details of two big events it will host in the spring.
First up is the Hamilton Mausoleum Suite, by TV and film composer and Teenage Fanclub drummer Francis Macdonald, which will be performed by soloists from the Scottish Festival Orchestra.
Francis will introduce a short film and a live performance of his acclaimed chamber music suite on Tuesday, March 13. Doors open at 8pm for the performance at 8.30pm. Tickets are priced at £14.
The following month the Tower will also play host to Scotland’s first Festival of Bass, featuring performances from Herbie Flowers, who played with Lou Reed and David Bowie and was briefly a member of T Rex, Jah Wobble of Public Image Ltd, and Aztec Camera bassist Campbell Owens.
The festival will take place on Sunday, April 22 from 3-9pm. Tickets £25. More information at helensburghboxoffice.com.
