Officers from Helensburgh say they are following ‘a positive line of enquiry’ after the driver of the vehicle caused a police serach following the incident at around 7pm on February 27.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “An alleged speeding vehicle refused to stop for police and was pursued into the Garelochhead area where the driver abandoned the vehicle and made off.
“The subsequent search for the driver involved the use of police dogs and the police helicopter.”
