The two men deliberately misled staff at the premises on West Princes Street while asking for change.
The incident happened at around 6pm on Thursday, September 24.
One of the suspects is described as Asian appearance, with an Asian accent, wearing a navy jacket, grey t-shirt and dark trousers with a small gold ring/small diamonds worn on right hand.
The second male is also described as Asian, wearing a black jacket and white trousers.
Inspector Coleen Wylie told the Advertiser: “The persons involved in scams such as this can be very convincing, will often have an accomplice who distracts staff members whilst they are trying to count the money/provide change. Please be vigilant to this type of fraud and consult other staff members before carrying out any transaction you are unsure of.”
