AT least five people have been hurt in a two-car crash on the Erskine Bridge shortly before rush hour.
Fire crews are currently attempting to free at least one person from one of the vehicles using specialist cutting equipment.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics, including a specialist trauma unit special operations team, are treating the casualties at the scene.
No-one has yet been taken to hospital.
The collision happened shortly before 5pm closing the bridge on the M898 south-bound carriageway.
There are significant delays in roads around the area - including the A82 - and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
The north-bound carriareway remains open although expect significant delays. More to follow.
