PLANS have been unveiled to build 30 new detached homes at a variety of locations around Luss.

Local landowner Luss Estates’ proposals appear in eight separate planning applications published this week by the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Authority.

The biggest proposed development comprises 11 detached houses on a site opposite the Luss sports field.

The estates company also hopes to build ten properties on three sites at Muirlands, on the B832 Helensburgh-Luss road, and four houses on two sites near Oakbank Cottage at Port o’ Rossdhu.

Simon Miller, Luss Estates’ chief executive, said: “It is expected that five of these houses would be affordable self build plots. These 30 houses are in addition to the five already under construction by Link Housing.

“This initiative stems from the Luss Strategic Development Framework, published in October 2013. The framework seeks to address the actions needed to make Luss a thriving and viable community by bringing in much needed new jobs and more family housing.

“We have already started discussions on specific applications with members of the local community.”
