THE Argyle Care Centre celebrated their first annual gala day at the weekend.
Staff, residents and their family and friends enjoyed a fun filled afternoon which included a buffet with cakes and sweet treats donated by staff and relatives.
Other highlights of the event included face painting, a raffle, a piñata and a petting zoo which proved popular with all ages.
Relatives, residents and staff went out their way to ensure everyone had an enjoyable afternoon and following the weekends success it is hoped more similar events will follow.
Sara McLeod, activities co-ordinator at the Argyle Care Centre, said: "The whole afternoon was a complete success and wouldn't have been possible without the help given by all the staff in the Argyle Care centre.
"I'd like to thank all the relatives of our residents who went out their way to donate prizes and home baking for our raffle and buffet, I'd also like to thank our manager George Hicks and deputy manager Michelle Carr for all the support given on the day! Without your help it wouldn't have happened.
"A massive thank you also goes to the animal mans petting zoo for the service provided, all our residents and children thoroughly enjoyed the animals and reptiles that came along."
Sara is already starting to plan future events at the care centre and is hopeful that they will be just as successful.
