HELENSBURGH motorists planning to drive to or from Dumbarton will face delays over the next three weekends because of road works.
Resurfacing work at Dalreoch Junction will see four-way lights in place from 7pm this Friday until the early hours of Monday, September 4, at Renton Road, Cardross Road and Dalreoch railway station car park, while West Bridgend will be closed.
Three-way lights will be in operation on Cardross Road on the weekends of September 8-11 and September 15-18, with Renton Road and West Bridgend closed.
Signposted diversions will be in place throughout the closures.
Drivers in the area could be further delayed by overnight resurfacing work on the northbound A82, lasting from Sunday, September 3 to Sunday, September 10.
The work, costing £217,000, will take place on a 540-metre stretch from Garshake Road to the Barloan Roundabout and on the Barloan roundabout itself each night from 8pm until 6am.
A convoy system will be implemented during the hours the work is taking place.
The Dumbarton resurfacing works are in addition to the continuing weekend work on the Erskine Bridge, which will be in place again this Saturday and Sunday. Delays of up to 30 minutes are anticipated.
