THIS week our trip down Helensburgh's 'memory lane' takes us back 10 years to the presentation of proceeds from the Helensburgh Retailers' Association annual ball.
Here's how we reported the news in the Advertiser on February 7, 2008...

HELENSBURGH retailers have helped provide a cash boost for good causes.
Almost £7,000 raised through Helensburgh Retailers’ Association’s annual ball in November was handed over to three local organisations last week.
Parklands School, the MS Society’s Helensburgh branch and Able to Sail, a Clyde-based sail training charity for disabled people, each received a cheque for £2,300.
The cash total came from a raffle and auction of prizes donated by local businesses to the annual ball event.
