RESIDENTS are invited to give their views on rural growth in Argyll and Bute – and possibly help bring a cash windfall to the area.
The area’s council has put together a bid to attract UK and Scottish Government investment through a rural growth deal.
A consultation has now started to ask the population if such a package is useful for the area, and how the investment would be best spent for people and businesses.
Argyll and Bute Council Leader Aileen Morton said: “Argyll and Bute deserves a prosperous future. It deserves investment. A rural growth deal could bring that.
“A deal wouldn’t bring everything everyone wants. However, it would be a turning point in building a thriving future for the area.
“Public backing and in-put will play an important part in making a deal happen. I would encourage anyone who cares about the future of Argyll and Bute to take a moment to answer this consultation.”
You can give your views on-line at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/rural-growth-deal. Printed copies of the consultation are available at Customer Service Points, by emailing marketing@argyll-bute.gov.uk or emailing 01546 604390.
The consultation runs until Friday, August 10.
