RESCUE teams searching for a missing swimmer in Loch Lomond have found a body.
A police helicopter and the Loch Lomond rescue boat crew were involved in the search after the alarm was raised at around 9.25pm on Wednesday, when a 25-year-old man got into difficulty near the Maid of the Loch in Balloch while swimming with friends.
The search resumed early on Thursday morning and the body was recovered from the loch at around 10.20am.
The body has yet to be formally identified but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
The rescue boat's crew said in a statement on the boat's Facebook page: "Our crews were involved in this search yesterday, through the night and this morning. Our condolences to friends and family."
