SCOTLAND’S premier Take That tribute band are in town soon with tickets selling fast for the special gig.

Take This have reformed for a limited number of shows and the act come to the Rosslea Hall Hotel on Saturday, November 10.

All money raised from the event will go to Cancer Research UK. Alison Sturgeon, assistant manager of the Helensburgh branch, said she is looking forward to an exciting night.

She said: “We are hoping to sell out our tickets and raise £1,500.

“It should be a great night. They are coming back just for this weekend and the only way to see them is by getting along to one of these charity nights.”

The charity shop recently celebrated a major fund-raising milestone after announcing that more than £10,000 has been raised so far in 2018.

Smashing the initial target of £8,500, the efforts of people in supporting the cause have not gone unnoticed.

Alison added: “For such a wee place, with only two members of staff and 30 volunteers, it’s an amazing achievement.

“It’s only because everyone has been so generous and wonderful, they see what we are doing and know that 100 per cent of the money goes to Cancer Research.

“You never know how it’s going to go when you set targets but it’s been tremendous and we are very proud of the whole area. We just try and do as much as we can but a big thank you to everyone.”
