DETECTIVES are on the hunt for a group of thugs who deliberately drove a car at an Airdrie house before setting it on fire.

Around 0.10am on Wednesday, the blue saloon car was deliberately reversed into the gate and wall of the house in Forrest Street.

The occupants then got out and appear to have set the car on fire before making off from the scene in another car, which was last seen being driven towards the roundabout at Carlisle Road.
