STAFF at the Helensburgh office of a financial services firm are celebrating after the company received four prizes at a leading industry awards ceremony.

Redmayne Bentley was chosen as the best full service stockbroker, best stockbroker for customer service, and best self select ISA award winner at the Investors Chronicle/Financial Times Investment and Wealth Management Awards – and capped it all by being named overall stockbroker of the year.

While Redmayne Bentley has consistently received recognition at the IC/FT Awards, it is the first time it has picked up four in one ceremony, and it received the highest number of awards of any organisation on the night.

Speaking after the award ceremony at the Glaziers Hall in London, Robin Dutfield, at the firm’s Helensburgh office, said: “This has been an incredible achievement and I, on behalf of Redmayne Bentley, would like to thank investors who voted for us to receive these important awards.

“I also thank all my colleagues for their daily efforts to provide outstanding service.

“Clients remain our main focus as they have been since our beginnings over 140 years ago.

“In an industry where more online investment platforms are coming onto the market, this award demonstrates that investors genuinely value personal service, based on long-term relationships with clients, often across generations.

“For example, among the recent issues over which clients have contacted Redmayne Bentley are the turbulence and volatility in equity markets.

“In response, the firm’s investment managers have reiterated that focus remains on structuring investment portfolios to be all-weather, for the longer term.

“Our investment managers provide a personal, tailored and flexible approach to managing their clients’ investments, using their expertise across all asset classes to tailor the portfolio and service to each specific client, and are not constrained by in-house ‘buy’ lists.”

It’s the fourth time in the last five years that the firm has been named ‘best full service stockbroker’ at the awards.
