A 51-YEAR-OLD woman from Rhu was arrested for allegedly racially abusing staff members at a council building in Helensburgh last week.
A female housing officer was offering assistance to the woman at Argyll and Bute Council’s East Clyde Street offices at around 11am on Thursday, November 29 when the accused allegedly became aggressive and used racially abusive language witnessed by other members of staff.
Police were called and attended the incident and the woman was later traced and arrested from her home address a short time later.
She was then taken to Govan police station where she was held to appear at court from custody.
The woman was charged with a racially aggravated breach of the peace.
