A Barrhead family are heading into the new year on a high after finding their pet cat who went missing over the festive period.
Owner Lauren Slater sent out an appeal on social media for help finding Tess who went missing from from her home in Commore Avenue in Auchenback on Saturday, December 22 and had not been seen since.
The heartbroken woman and her family, who were forced to spend Christmas without their feline friend, were urging locals to keep their eyes peeled for the tabby and white mog.
But a week after she disappeared and just in time for the Hogmany celebrations, the outdoor cat has come home.
And the family are so thankful to everyone who helped search for the wanderer.
Lauren said: "Tess came home!!!! She’s dirty, starving and skinny but home!! Thanks to everyone who helped!!!"
