A TEENAGER was arrested in Helensburgh at the weekend for allegedly being "substantially over the legal limit" for driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Police officers on patrol in the town reportedly saw a black Vauxhall Astra in West Princes Street in the early hours of Sunday, January 6.
According to police, after the vehicle was stopped, the male driver - an 18-year-old from Rhu - failed a breath test and was placed under arrest before being taken to Clydebank police station.
Further samples were taken and the driver was held until sober before being released to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, January 23.
