TALENTED children from Rhu Primary School held a glittering Oscars evening to celebrate the end of their successful movie-making project and raised money for charity too!

The youngsters from Primary 6 rolled out the red carpet and donned ball gowns and black ties as they invited parents to their special screen debut.

The 28 children had worked in groups of four with help from Mrs Maria Dye and Mrs Senga Mackay to make a total of seven individual movies.

During the term-long project they learned a wide range of multimedia skills, including filming and editing.

Head teacher Miss Anne Milne said: “The evening was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

“I am very proud of all the children and what they have achieved with this project.”
