GUESTS at the Gibson Hall in Garelochhead celebrated the arrival of 2019 with the annual village ceilidh.

The popular gathering, held on Friday, January 4, attracted regular visitors from around the area as well as some new faces keen to see out the festive season in style.

Helensburgh ceilidh band Crowded Croft provided the on stage entertainment, while the ticketed event also featured a raffle and refreshments as revellers raved into the new year.

A social media post after the event, said: "A huge thank you as always to everyone who came along to our annual ceilidh - we hope you enjoyed it, and hope to see you again soon."

Tickets are on sale now for the next big event at the Gibson Hall - a Burns Supper on Saturday, January 26 at 7pm.

The traditional night celebrating the life of Robert Burns is open to all, but tickets must be purchased in advance, at a cost of £10 from the Garelochhead post office, the Eureka shop or the committee.

Sales will be cut off one week before the event.
