Taxpayers in Helensburgh and Lomond are being reminded to complete their self assessment tax returns by the end of this month before the January 31 deadline.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) says it expects the vast majority of taxpayers to avoid penalties by completing their returns and paying any tax owed by January 31.
However, help is available for people fearing they may miss the deadline or who are unsure of what to do.
Angela MacDonald, HMRC’s director general for customer services, said: “If you are completing self assessment for the first time or are yet to start your 2017/18 tax return, there is a wide range of support and guidance available online to help at every stage of the tax return process.”
A video has also been prepared, specifically aimed at customers completing a tax return for the first time - watch it here.
Help is also available by calling the self assessment helpline on 0300 200 3310.
