A 20-YEAR-OLD man was charged with alleged careless driving after a four-car collision on the A82 on Sunday.
The accident happened south of Firkin Point, near Inverbeg at around 4.45pm when the male, from Campbeltown, was travelling northbound and allegedly collided with another vehicle in the adjacent lane, also travelling northbound, forcing it into the path of oncoming traffic.
A vehicle travelling south was struck and the female driver was cut from her car by emergency services and taken to the RAH in Paisley.
A further vehicle was also involved in the collision and the stretch of road was closed for several hours.
A full update on injuries is still pending and the 20-year-old male driver was charged at the scene for alleged careless driving, after all parties returned negative results from alcohol breathalyse tests.
