POLICE in Helensburgh are investigating a report of a break-in at a Cardross newsagent’s shop last week.

Officers reported a small amount of goods were stolen from the shop on Main Road at around 2.35am on Tuesday, January 15.

The shop’s owner attended after the alarm was activated and observed the grate removed from a window.

Police were then called and a forensic examination was carried out, with several items seized for possible DNA links.

The enquiry is ongoing and anyone with any information should contact Helensburgh police station.
