FEW words capture the meaning of a typical Scottish winter as well as “dreich” – but as these pictures demonstrate, not every day fits that description, and there are still plenty of opportunities to capture Helensburgh and Lomond’s stunning scenery at its best at this time of year.
Our latest selection of readers’ pictures were all taken on stunning winter days – most of them in the last few weeks, along with a few from 2017-18 which we’ve dug out of our archives.
And as this selection demonstrates, too, in spite of the shorter days, you’re keen to get a little bit further afield with your cameras in the depth of winter – the images featured here include locations such as Loch Ba, on Rannoch Moor, and Inveraray in Argyll, as well as locations closer to home.
We’re hoping to publish your glorious scenic photos – both from Helensburgh and Lomond and further afield – a little more often in the Advertiser in 2019, in addition to our regular Picture of the Week section, so if you have any images, whether taken locally or elsewhere, which you think would fit in, send them to editorial@helensburghadvertiser.co.uk and we’ll feature the best in print and online.
Happy snapping!
