A LOCH Lomond Shores shop has reached the finals of a prestigious UK-wide awards competition.

Loch Lomond News has been named among the runners in the 'Collectible Product Retailer of the Year’ category at the National Federation of Retail Newsagents (NFRN) awards.

The winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony in London on February 12 and the event will be hosted by the Federation of Independent Retailers in what is the 100th year of the NFRN.

Up against retailers nationwide, Andy Howell, owner of Loch Lomond News, is delighted to be a finalist.

He said: “We are really pleased to reach the finals and hopefully have a good chance of winning given the huge array of collectibles we stock.

"Our range of collectibles really comes from the local demand for these and we’re delighted that simply looking after our customers well has led to us being in contention for this award.”
