GLOBETROTTING dancers from Helensburgh’s Margaret Rose School of Dancing have notched up a new record.
A visit to Rheindalen Barracks in Monchengladbach in Germany brought the dance school’s total of countries visited to 25.
Claire Bannon (16), Sarah Milne (16), Jo-Anne Boyd (17) and Lynsey Hacket (17) represented the dance school at a Burns supper in the Churchill Officers Mess.
They had been invited by Major Scott Steven, who had seen them dance during the summer.
Accompanied by their teacher Margaret MacInnes, the girls also managed to fit in quite a bit of sightseeing.
The dancers were greatly appreciated and have been invited back next year.
Mrs MacInnes said: “The visit to Germany brings our total of countries visited to 25 although a few of those we have danced in more than once.”
