POLICE are investigating an alleged theft by housebreaking after a laptop, jewellery and watches were stolen from a house in Cardross last week.
The female homeowner left her property in Main Road between the hours of 11am and 3pm on Friday, February 22 before returning to find doors open.

Once within the property the woman found a number of drawers had been opened and a rear small window had been opened to allow access.
Police were then contacted and attended the scene, confirming the missing possessions for which a total value is still to be established.

A full forensic examination was carried out and Helensburgh police are keen to speak to any witnesses who observed any suspicious activity during this narrow timescale.
