PEOPLE living in Arrochar, Tarbet and Luss are set to benefit from a pilot project trialling new ways to improve energy efficiency.

Change Works in Argyll launches this month, helping local homes and businesses improve warmth while reducing energy costs.

The project will be based in and around west Loch Lomond and Loch Long, covering communities in the area including Arrochar, Succoth, Tarbet and Luss.

The team will organise free activities and events, such as drop-in sessions in local community hubs, to help people find practical ways to cut their heating and energy bills.

Local householders will also be offered energy audits of their home or business, and advice on using smart technology, to see how much gas and electricity they are using so they can spot ways to use energy more efficiently and save money.

Eamon King, senior project officer of Change Works in Argyll, said, “We’re looking forward to working together with the community to support householders and businesses to make energy efficiency improvements, cut carbon emissions and reduce heating bills.”

Eamon will be holding a weekly drop-in advice hub every Wednesday afternoon from 12.30- 4.30pm at the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar. The first such session will take place on Wednesday, March 13.
