GIN lovers in Helensburgh and beyond will have another chance to sample creations from all over Scotland and further afield at a festival in the town this weekend.

After a hugely successful first visit in 2018, GinFall returns to the Victoria Halls on Saturday, March 16.

It's the latest in a series of community events which have run in venues across the country since March 2018, combining products from distillers throughout Scotland and beyond with street food, live entertainment, a cocktail bar and masterclasses.

The event is the brainchild of Damien Higgins and John McIvor from cocktail events firm Social and Cocktail.

Damien said: "A lot of the bigger towns with large populations like Hamilton, Oban and Paisley for example, had never been approached to host a gin event like this and we just thought that was crazy. We quickly found that people were more appreciative when you go to the extra effort to bring these events a little closer to home.

"We feel a large of the success of the GinFall events is the community spirit and the buzzing atmosphere at each one

"We had eight successful main events and several smaller ones last year and dozens of people were coming up to thank us for bringing an event like this to their town."

This year's event includes a new Tiki Rum Room with rum producers from Scotland and beyond and a Tiki Bar serving classic rum cocktails.

This Saturday's festival runs from 12 noon until 9.30pm and the last few tickets are available at socialandcocktail.co.uk/ginfall.
