HELENSBURGH rail passengers are being advised to expect travel disruption until at least this evening due to a signalling fault at Haymarket.
ScotRail announced at around 9am on Wednesday morning that a fault with the signalling system at Haymarket station was causing delays on the line between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh.
Several services throughout the day have been terminated at Bathgate and the issue is predicted to last until 7pm tonight.
Rush-hour trains are impacted with the 15:26 Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh train due at 17:24 now cancelled, while the 15:56 train, due at 17:44, has also suffered the same fate.
Meanwhile, the 16:18 Edinburgh to Helensburgh Central train due at 18:16 will now be formed of three coaches instead of six due to a train fault.
The 15:52, 16:18, 16:55 and 17:23 trains from Edinburgh to Helensburgh Central will all be started from Bathgate.
