POLICE in Helensburgh are hunting a hit-and-run driver who allegedly struck an eight-year-old boy on his scooter after running a red light.
Officers confirmed they are investigating an incident which took place at around 8pm on Sunday, March 31 in East Princes Street, near to Sinclair Street.
The driver of a red Mazda is alleged to have struck the boy after travelling through a red traffic light.
The boy was uninjured after the incident but police are keen to speak to any witnesses who may have information.
Witnesses are asked to contact Helensburgh police office on 101 and quote crime reference number LA06720319.
