HELENSBURGH residents have gone the eggs-tra mile after donating bundles of Easter eggs for local children.
Staff from Co-op Funeralcare in West King Street have been collecting eggs in the run up to Easter and presented them to members of Helensburgh Lomond Carers on Tuesday at Helensburgh Funeralcare.
David Eagle, regional manager from Co-op Funeralcare, said it was a pleasure to help bring cheer to youngsters this Easter, adding: “As part of the local community, we wanted to mark Easter by making it a really special occasion for local children.
“We’re very grateful to members of the local community who have kindly donated eggs towards this worthy cause.”
Tens of the chocolate treats were collected by staff members and handed over to the Helensburgh group, who will be distributed in time for Easter.
