A MAN was arrested in Rosneath after allegedly threatening staff at a supermarket and refusing to leave.

The 38-year-old from Paisley entered the The Clachan Co-op store on the afternoon of Friday, April 12, while under the influence of alcohol.

He is said to have become abusive towards staff members after being refused alcohol and asked to leave.

However, he had left the shop by the time police officers arrived.

The man then entered the store a second time later on the day and allegedly became abusive once again – threatening staff and, again, refusing to leave.

Police were called again and arrested the man, who was charged with a disorder offence and failing to leave a licensed premises when instructed to do so.

He was later released on an undertaking to appear at Dumbarton sheriff court.
