BACK in 2004 these tiny dancers made a big noise to help raise money for charity.

Here's how we featured the story in the Advertiser 15 years ago...

**********

THESE tiny dancers from Helensburgh will be helping to raise money for people with cancer.

The Margaret Rose School of Dance is taking part in the Macmillan Mile in May, and are urging you to do the same, with the help of Miles the Mouse.

The charity is looking for people to do a mile of absolutely anything during the week of May 23-30.

It can be as simple as a sponsored walk, run, cycle or even a mile-long swim, hop or skip.

For those who feel that anything energetic is a mile too far, Macmillan would be glad to see you do anything to raise money.

Last year saw almost 30,000 people taking part with some being sponsored to line dance, knit a mile long-scarf and lay a mile of buttons.

Over £95,000 was raised in Scotland by the thousands of Macmillan Miles Challenge events organised last year and, with your support, this year could be an even bigger success.
