PEOPLE in Helensburgh and Lomond are being urged to get outdoors this Easter and enjoy the landscapes in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

The national park is joining with others across the UK, with events and experiences to inspire people of all ages and interests to go outside, explore and learn more about these special places.

Full of contrasting landscapes and lochs, rivers, forests and woodlands, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs are a treasure trove of wildlife and natural beauty all waiting to be discovered.

And with half of Scotland’s population living within an hour’s drive of the park, it’s a great place to come and experience nature up close.

Gordon Watson, the park’s chief executive, said: “National parks offer some of the best places in the country to switch off and reconnect with the natural world.

“The park boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, with a wide range of outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy.
