IFA (Industrieverband Fahrzeugbau, translated as Industrial Association for Vehicle Construction) was a union of companies under which all car manufacturers in the former East Germany belonged.

Favourites which will be on display at the Scottish meet will include Wartburg and Trabant cars from the eastern bloc.

The group’s members will gather outside the Scottish Submarine Centre in West King Street at 11am next Sunday.

They will take in the attraction with a Cold War interest before heading north up the A818 and joining the A82 travelling to Luss.
