MORE than 120 Guides, leaders, and parents, marked Thinking Day recently in Helensburgh’s Victoria Halls.

The annual celebration of the Guide Association saw a series of time travel games and recreations of scenes from history.

The theme of ‘time travel’ saw girls from the ages of five to 15 caught in a ‘time warp’, trying activities from different eras.

Activities included making Elizabethan pomanders, medieval tapestries, Viking shields and living during World War Two — the girls could find themselves in one of 12 time zones.

“The event was hailed a great success again for leaders and members alike and we look forward to next year’s adventure,” said a spokesperson for the organisers.
