Antiques expert Anita Manning is coming to Helensburgh on Friday to lend her support to the local branch of the RNLI.

Anita, who has starred in TV’s Antiques Roadshow, Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip series, will bring the team from her Great Western Auctions business in Glasgow to Helensburgh Sailing Club on April 26 from 10am until 2pm.

Anita and her team, led by senior auctioneer and valuer Paul Howard, will be on hand to value antiques and collectables brought along by members of the public from throughout Helensburgh and Lomond and beyond.

Anita’s interest in antiques was sparked by her father taking her to auctions on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow as a child, and she has run Great Western Auctions with her daughter since 1989.

Tickets, priced £10 for three items, are available on the day, and all proceeds from the event will go towards the Helensburgh lifeboat crew and its work saving lives on the Firth of Clyde and its surrounding sea lochs.

Items forwarded for sale on the day of the event will receive a discount on auction commission fees.

Tea and coffee will also be provided at the event.
