ARROCHAR Primary School received two trophies from Helensburgh Rotary Club at a ceremony recently.
Club president Mike Jane travelled to the school at Tarbet to present the engraved awards — a shield for a year and a permanent glass trophy — for winning this year’s annual Rotary Primary 7 Quiz, held at Lomond School in Helensburgh in March.
Head teacher Alison Palmer and all the other pupils looked on as the awards were presented to Taylor Neil, Lachlan O’Neill, and sister and brother Ella and Findlay Mustarde, who won the event for the village school for the first time.
The Arrochar team are looking forward to taking part in the West of Scotland final in Glasgow in May — and Mrs Palmer challenged her pupils to win the local contest again next year.
