Helensburgh’s Christian Aid grand fayre takes place at Helensburgh Parish Church on Saturday, May 11 from 10am-12 noon.

Entry is £2 for adults and 50p for children, including tea and coffee. Stalls include home baking, jewellery, books, plants, toys, and gifts.

Other events in Helensburgh during Christian Aid Week this year include a united church service at the United Reformed Church on Sunday, May 12 at 7pm focusing on the charity’s work.

The annual Christian Aid P7 football tournament for the area’s schools, organised by Ardencaple FC, takes place at Hermitage Academy from 6-8.30pm on Monday, May 11, and all family, friends and members of the public are invited along. There will be a tuck shop and raffle at the event.

Finally, the annual Christian Aid sponsored swim takes place at Helensburgh Swimming Pool on Thursday, May 16 from 6.30-8.30pm.

Swimmers need to be able to swim lengths confidently. The event is fully supervised and lane counters will tally up your progress.

Swimming in a gala atmosphere, adults and children are able to achieve their personal best for amount of lengths swum.
