GRAB a glass and say cheers as the 2019 Helensburgh Beer and Gin Festival takes place this weekend.

The ‘best wee fest in the west’ kicks off at 6pm tomorrow (Friday) – and if you can’t make it for an evening tipple, don’t worry, because the fun continues on Saturday from 12 noon.

The event, organised by the Helensburgh and District Round Table, will be held for the first time at the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre in East Clyde Street after a change of venue was announced in March.

The festival is promised to be bigger and better than ever and last year’s event, the 12th instalment of the successful gathering, attracted more than 2,000 people.

Visitors this time can take their pick from a fine selection of ales, craft lagers, Prosecco, gin and rum, with good food and live music also on offer throughout both days to entertain guests.

Both sessions will run until 11pm.
