CENTENARIAN Jessie Kane made the Advertiser's headlines 15 years ago this week with a double birthday bash, proving she still had the party bug even at the grand old age of 100.
Here's a look back at our story celebrating Jessie's milestone from May 13, 2004...
**********
TWO birthday parties in the space of a week proved Jessie Kane is still going strong.
Jessie turned 100 last week and was joined by friends and family at her celebrations at Rhu Community Centre and Clydeview Day Care Unit.
Clydeview’s Jan Thomson said: “It was a really good day for her.
"Everyone had a lovely time, we had a cake and Jessie brought along her telegram from the Queen.”
