A HELENSBURGH man was charged with alleged careless driving and with driving without the appropriate insurance after being stopped by police on an early morning patrol.
Police say the 26-year-old, from Johnson Court, was seen driving his van in excess of the speed limit near to the town’s Waitrose supermarket shortly after 5am on Wednesday, May 8.

The driver was charged with the alleged offences, and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
