HELENSBURGH'S latest community volunteer beach clean takes place this weekend – and the organisers want YOUR help.
The clean-up effort along the town centre's shoreline, organised by Helensburgh Community Council (HCC), will be held between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday, June 1.
It's the latest in a series of regular beach cleans in Helensburgh throughout the summer months, in addition to those undertaken by community groups and volunteers in nearby Cardross, Rhu, Garelochhead, Kilcreggan and Arrochar.
If you'd like to lend a hand to make sure the town's shoreline looks at its best at the start of summer, HCC asks that you meet at the west promenade, next to the pier and public toilets, at 10am on Saturday.
Please bring gardening (or other heavy duty) gloves if you have them.
HCC convener Norman Muir said: "The West Esplanade is looking good at the moment and we want to keep it that way."
