A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Birmingham was arrested after an incident outside a Helensburgh pub.

Police officers observed a man allegedly being verbally abusive towards another member of the public on West Clyde Street in the early hours of Sunday, May 26.

The man is alleged to have refused to desist when instructed to do so by police and was subsequently arrested for a disorder offence.

He allegedly resisted arrest by pulling away from officers, but was eventually handcuffed and taken to Clydebank police office.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
