A LUSS café has won a national hospitality industry award for the second year running.

The Coach House Coffee Shop won 'best café ambience' at the 2019 Scottish Café Awards after a prize-giving ceremony in Glasgow last week.

Over 200 of the country's café professionals gathered at the Marriott Hotel to celebrate the services provided by catering specialists.

After retaining their crown, Coach House staff thanked their loyal customers for voting for them once again.

A post on Facebook read: "It's always lovely to get some recognition for our hard work... but we really didn't think we would win two years in a row.

"In short we are officially quirky and bonkers."

A spokesperson for the Scottish Cafe Awards 2019, said: “Although on our second year, we are honoured by the fantastic response we have had from the public who were so keen to vote for their favourite cafés.

“The cafe industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to seek out, reward and thank those who have managed to make a real difference by introducing innovation in this industry.

“The awards also aimed to acknowledge everything that is coffee related and showcase that Scottish people are big coffee lovers.

"It was lovely to be part of this celebration and we would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements.”
