Nearly 6,000 motorists have been caught driving under the influence in the past year, according to a survey.
Data compiled by insurance firm Confused.com found there were 5,847 motorists in Scotland caught driving impaired in 2018/19, down slightly from the year before.
The firm also said a third of drivers felt over the limit the morning after drinking. And they warned over the confusion motorists feel over how long to wait before driving.

Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com, said: “It’s longer than you think.”
