FOR fans of pipe band music in Helensburgh, all roads lead to Dumbarton this Saturday as the town hosts the Scottish Pipe Band Championships for the 20th year running.

With more than 125 pipe bands performing, first class entertainment and traditional Highland dancing, the free event at Levengrove Park on July 27 promises to be just as spectacular as ever.

Traders will be offering Scottish themed goods, pipe band accessories, arts and crafts, clothing, handbags, jewellery and much more.

A large fun fair with all the traditional amusements will help keep kids entertained throughout the day along with a family fun area with children’s magic shows, balloon modelling and laser quest, which can be played in teams or by going solo.

And if all that fun helps work up an appetite, there will be a host of tasty snacks to choose from including, but not limited to, oven fired pizzas, authentic Greek food, fish and chips, burgers and crepes.

Refreshing, cool drinks will also be available at the big bar, while the gin bar will be serving up some delicious cocktails.
