HELENSBURGH police arrested a man on suspicion of driving dangerously following a crash near Faslane last week.

The 32-year-old, from the Churchill area of Helensburgh, was arrested following the accident on the A814 just after midnight on Thursday, July 18.

Police say that in addition to allegedly driving dangerously, the man also failed to comply with a requirement to provide officers with a sample of breath for analysis.

The man was arrested and held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date.
