HELENSBURGH Orchestral Society is heading to Arrochar this weekend for what promises to be a memorable summer concert.
The orchestra, conducted by Robert Baxter, will perform pieces by Boieldieu, Borodin, Beethoven and Strauss at the Three Villages Hall on Sunday, August 11 at 3pm – and their performance will be followed by afternoon tea and cakes.
Tickets cost £9 (under 14s free) and are available from the Hall by phoning 01301 702669 or e-mail admin@threevillages.org.uk.
Ruth Sinclair from HOS said: “The orchestra is really looking forward to playing at this fantastic venue again and hope to see you there!”
More information on HOS can be found at helensburgh-orchestra.co.uk/, on Facebook or by emailing helensburghorchestrasecretary@gmail.com.
The orchestra is always looking for new members and is currently recruiting for all strings (violin, viola, cello and double bass – but especially violins), French horn and tenor and bass trombone.
So if you’re around Grade 5 standard or equivalent and interested in joining, please get in touch using any of the methods above.
